Sudanese protesters took the streets this week to demand the government’s transition to civilian rule in Khartoum. 

Simultaneous pro-military protests occurred in Khartoum following Friday prayers, which were attended by the Sudanese Minister of Finance Gibril Ibrahim.  

The relationship between Sudanese pro-democracy groups and the country’s military generals has deteriorated in recent weeks.
