New tables were dedicated Saturday at the George Braithwaite Table Tennis Court in New York. ​

George Braithwaite ​was on the American ​table tennis team that ​spawned what came to be known as 'Ping Pong Diplomacy' ​through a groundbreaking trip to China back in 1971. 

​A reciprocal trip by the Chinese team to the U.S. would follow while the two governments formally opened dialogue.
