Thousands of migrants and asylum seekers are headed toward Mexico City. Migrants in this latest caravan, made mostly of women and children, have trekked over 100km (60 miles) over the past week, on their journey from the Guatemalan border.
Some migrants are coming from even farther south than the Guatemala/Mexico border and while some intend to stay in Mexico, others are trying to enter the U.S. But volunteers who are helping migrants along the way are worried for their health. Many are injured and sick, including women at risk of miscarriage.
Along the way, a group of migrants held a vigil for their travels and are resting anywhere they can.
