Knee-deep flood waters drown eastern Indian coast city

At least 14 people have died in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, due to heavy rains, strong winds, and horrendous flooding.

While heavy rains are common in the region during the late monsoon season, severe weather events in villages like Chennai are becoming more frequent because of the climate crisis.
