The 2021 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals are set to take place from November 23 to 29 in Houston. 

This marks the first time that a major event of this sport is being held in the Americas.  It also pays tribute to the 50th anniversary of Ping Pong Diplomacy.

CGTN spoke to Shao Yu, a former Shanghai Table Tennis Team member and the owner of NY Indoor Sport Club, and Liu Juan, a former Chinese national women’s team player and current U.S. women’s team member about the impact of table tennis on them and their expectations for this game.
