The best table tennis players in the world are in the U.S. city of Houston, Texas for the World Table Tennis Championship competition.

But even top players had to start somewhere.

In New York City, there is a growing effort to get public school kids involved in ping pong.

Of course, it is for competition, as well as growing the sport in the U.S.
