In the heart of Mexico City, where once stood a statue of Christopher Columbus, there now stands a monument to a more pressing national issue: femicides.
Renamed the Monument to Female Fighters, here are inscribed the names of hundreds of women who have lost their lives to gender-related violence in Mexico.
