Migrant caravan headed for U.S. after processing in Mexico

Around 2,000 migrants are heading toward the U.S. having recently departed the city of Tapachula in Mexico where immigration officials had held migrants at a processing center they had set up at an Olympic stadium.

Mexican rule requires migrants to wait months to process their claims before they can move on to other parts of the country without fear of deportation.
