Renewed focus on international supply of vaccines

There's a renewed focus on the international supply of vaccines, especially since the Omicron variant of the coronavirus was first identified in South Africa. 

The WHO has been in prolonged discussions with Moderna over licensing its vaccine globally. And there's an ongoing dispute between the U.S. government's National Institutes of Health and Moderna, over patents for its coronavirus vaccine.
