Decisions made by world leaders at the recent COP26 summit in Glasgow have led to legally-mandated carbon trading markets to begin connecting across national and regional markets.  

Intended to address the climate crisis, internationally traded ‘carbon credits’ are hoped to be a way of reducing emissions worldwide.
