Indian farmers have ended their year-long mass protests, where thousands were camped outside of Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government agreed to abandon controversial agricultural laws that the farmers said threatened their livelihoods.
The farmers said they will begin returning home this Saturday, after ministers agreed to discuss their other demands, which include a withdrawal of criminal charges against protesters and guaranteed prices for produce.
