It’s a staple of the holiday ​season, but this year, Christmas trees are proving to be more expensive and harder to find, at least in the U.S. The summer’s record heat in parts of the country, like the Pacific Northwest, as well as supply chain disruptions have sent prices of real and artificial trees soaring. ​That has some consumers considering alternatives.
