At least 13 people were injured and around 1,270 people were evacuated after a major fire broke out inside the World Trade Center in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Wednesday, local media reported.

Firefighters used a crane to rescue hundreds of people lined up on a roof.

The fire broke out in a machine room and spread to scaffolding surrounding the building, according to police.
