Flash floods hit northern Iraq, killing at least eight people according to local authorities. While flooding and intense storms often hit Iraq in the winter, especially in the north, they rarely grow this devastating.
The lack of a sustainable infrastructure also makes the situation difficult for millions of Iraqis.
