Former Minneapolis Police Officer Kim Potter broke down multiple times on the stand during her testimony in court on Friday, where she is on trial for first and second-degree manslaughter in the shooting of unarmed 20–year-old Daunte Wright in April.

Potter testified that she never fired her gun or her taser in her career as a police officer, and began crying when shown the video of her gun pointing at Wright, which she says she believed was her taser. Potter also became upset when the prosecution questioned why she did not administer aid to Wright as he was dying.
