Migrant caravans are now a common phenomenon in Mexico, as large groups move to the United States border. 

But as the technique is repeated across the years, Mexico's authorities have developed ways to break up the caravans. 


CGTN's Alasdair Baverstock reports from southern Mexico, where he speaks with families and migrants who have walked thousands of miles and joined in a caravan to make safe passage through the country and hopefully to the U.S. But life on the caravan is far from easy for many migrants.
