Mexico City struggles to care for waves of migrants

Millions of migrants from the Caribbean and Central America are sheltering in Mexico, many temporarily, as they make their way to the United States. The waves of people heading north are straining the resources of cities along the way.

This shelter is called the Pilgrim's House. It's one of two government-operated shelters now helping migrants here in the Mexican capital. Like the others, it's filled to capacity.
