The U.S. Supreme Court is set to rule on a landmark 1973 decision that has guaranteed a woman’s right to an abortion for nearly 50 years. 

Many rights groups have called on California to prepare for the influx of millions of women from other states who may need assistance.

The decision could set the stage for dozens of states to take a harder stand against abortion, leaving millions of women with no access to the procedure.
