Hundreds of migrants granted humanitarian visas to travel to northern Mexico departed a shelter in southern Mexico on Tuesday.
They were part of a caravan that began with 3,000 people two months ago on the Mexico-Guatemala border. A smaller group made their way to Mexico City, where activists pressed government officials to provide more visas and buses to bring the migrants further north.
