Europe celebrates Boxing Day with local traditions

The day after Christmas is celebrated as Boxing Day throughout parts of Europe. While celebrated primarily as a shopping day in the United Kingdom, Boxing Day was originally recognized throughout Europe as St. Stephen's Day, a continuation of the Christmas celebration.
