Thousands of birds die amid Israel's 'worst ever' wildlife crisis

Thousands of birds around Israel's Hula Reservoir were seen struggling, suffering, and dying as an outbreak of avian flu set off alarms throughout the region. More than 5,000 migratory cranes were dead from the virus in the first day, and local authorities declared the area off limits and began culling hundreds of thousands of poultry birds to try to stop the virus from spreading.
