Mexican officials dismantled a makeshift camp that was housing thousands of migrants in the country’s south near the Guatemalan border. 

Before it was disbanded, officials granted 3,000 migrants, some families with children permission by Mexico’s National Migration Institute to process their travel documents and leave the camp.
