Kazakh state secretary says the country was under a terrorist attack
In an exclusive interview with CGTN, Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Karin said the country had suffered from an international terrorist attack, and the situation is now under control.
"Kazakhstan suffers from aggression by international terrorism. The series of events that have taken place is absolutely an act of international terrorism," Erlan Karin said.
"The situation stabilized within a few days. Now, the state of emergency is still in effect, but the country is gradually back to normal life."
