From flooding to hurricanes and tornadoes to wildfires, in 2021 the U.S. seemed to be engulfed by one weather disaster after another. The numbers confirm that last year was one of the most destructive and costliest on record, with scientists citing the numbers as evidence of accelerating climate change.
