New York City is showing some encouraging signs in the latest Omicron variant numbers. After a record surge in infections seen over the past month, officials say cases are now starting to level off. But hospitalizations remain high. 

For now, the city is maintaining its strict vaccine requirement for all who enter public spaces like restaurants, theaters and gyms. 

CGTN's Will Denselow reports that some businesses are taking it upon themselves to go even further to keep people safe.
