“Space Dream” is a multi-panel traditional Chinese mural.

It was created by a group of artists, An Jia, Xia Hesheng, Zhao Yunchuan, Zhao Yue and Xu Xiangqun.

The mural commemorates 11 Chinese heroes who fulfilled their space dreams.

China has had a long-term vision for establishing its own space station.

The country spent the last few decades making preparations to launch two laboratories into space.

China launched the first space lab, Tiangong-1 in 2011 and the second, Tiangong-2 in 2016.

Both space labs provide critical information for future modules that would form a much larger space station.

Tianhe is the core module for China's Space Station. Tianhe means “Harmony of the Heavens."

The module was launched on April 29, 2021. It has a control center and docking hub. It also provides life support and living quarters for three crew members.

Tianhe had its first visitor just a few weeks after arriving at its destination.

On May 29, 2021, China launched the Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft. It supplied the Tianhe with fuel and astronaut supplies for later missions.

On June 17, 2021, the Shenzhou-12 spacecraft carried three astronauts to dock with the Tianhe.

The crew spent three months testing equipment and preparing for future astronauts aboard the Tianhe.

On October 16, 2021, the Shenzhou-13 spacecraft launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center with three taikonauts headed to the Tianhe.

This mission breaks a new ground as Wang Yaping becomes the first female taikonaut to perform a spacewalk and work on China's space station.

China planned to launch a total of 11 missions between 2021 and 2022 in order to complete its 73-ton space station.
