Former Ha'atafu Beach Resort guests from around the world are raising money to help the Tonga resort rebuild.

The recent Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano eruption and tsunami destroyed the resort, leaving behind empty, ash-covered land.

The resort had about 14 cabins, which were washed away by the tsunami.

An online fundraising page has already exceeded its goal of raising 100,000 New Zealand dollars ($67,000) to help the owners rebuild.
