Over 80,000 households in Massachusetts are reported to be without power amid blizzard conditions on Saturday. The city of Boston is expected to be hit with 24 inches of snow. People are being advised to stay off the roads.
Most flights in and out of airports serving the New York, Boston and Philadelphia areas of the U.S. were canceled on Saturday due to a winter storm that dumped heavy snow on the Northeastern region of the country overnight.
Parts of ten states were covered in snow by daybreak. More than a foot of snow fell on New Jersey’s coastline.
The U.S. state of Massachusetts has declared a state of emergency amid massive snowfall, along with Maryland, New York and Rhode Island.
