Thousands of truckers and protesters gathered in Canada’s capital of Ottawa on Saturday to protest vaccine mandates, masks and lockdown measures amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

 A long convoy of trucks and cars parked around Parliament Hill, with some parking on the grounds of the National War Memorial before police had them move.  

Police were prepared for violence and warned people to stay away from downtown.  Some counter protesters could be seen on the street.
