The opening of the Winter Olympics in Beijing was broadcast to a worldwide audience on Friday, including São Paulo. 

The Brazil-China Friendship Association in Sao Paulo and the city's government organized a viewing event, an opportunity for the Chinese community to get together and watch the ceremony alongside Brazilians.
