Argentina has formally joined China’s Belt and Road Initiative joining neighbors Chile and Uruguay in doing so. 

President Alberto Fernandez signed the agreement while meeting President Xi Jinping on Sunday during a state visit in China when the countries announced a multi-billion investment package.
