A “freedom convoy” of French motorists protesting COVID-19 restrictions won’t be allowed to enter Paris, authorities say.
Demonstrators set out from parts of southern France this week with plans to converge on Paris and Brussels, demanding an end to restrictions.
Many French protestors are showing their support with demonstrators in Ottawa, Canada who have gridlocked the city in recent weeks, with signs, stickers, and flags.
Authorities warn anyone who violates Paris’ anti-protest ban risks two years in prison, a 4,500 euro fine, and having their driver’s license suspended.
