A report by the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics on Thursday outlines the life expectancy of Americans in every state in 2019. The data were all collected before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The U.S. CDC said that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to the drop of life expectancy in the U.S. by nearly two years in 2020 from 2019.
