A fifth journalist has been murdered in Mexico, making the first six weeks of 2022 the deadliest for journalists in the country in over a decade, says the Mexico representative for the Committee to Protect Journalists.
Mexico has the second-most journalist deaths in the world, after Syria, according to UNESCO.
More than 85% of those murders since 2006 have gone unpunished.
