The protests in Canada, originally sparked by COVID-19 ​vaccine mandates, ​has broadened into a backlash against all restrictions.

Friday, the Canadian Province of Ontario declared a state of emergency and made blocking infrastructure illegal, promising stiff punishments for offenders.
