One journalist was killed and others were injured after police opened fire during protests of factory workers in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Garment workers are demanding a living wage.

While the government raised the minimum wage by 54% on Monday, workers say that's not enough.

They're asking for about $15 per day but the government's minimum wage increase only gives them about half of what they’re asking, reports Reuters.

Workers have been protesting for weeks, arguing what they earn isn't enough to keep up with the rising cost of living.
