As the conflict in Ukraine intensifies, reports are emerging of the struggle that many African students are facing as they attempt to leave the country for refuge. 

The Nigerian government has condemned reports that its citizens have been stopped and face difficulties attempting to reach neighboring countries that have been open to other Ukrainians.
