Farmworkers in parts of California can get free rides in electric cars

In California, farmworkers use the term ‘raitero’ as both a person that gets a ride, and a person that gives a ride.
So when a program launched to give farmworkers and retired farmworkers free electric vehicle rides, the name was an obvious choice for its founder.
