A suicide bombing at a Shi'ite Muslim mosque during Friday prayers in Peshawar, Pakistan killed at least 56 people and injured nearly 200.
Police and hospital officials said It was one of the deadliest attacks in years.
An armed man who arrived near the mosque on a motorcycle opened fire when he was unsuccessfully stopped by police.
He then forced his way into a crowded hall, detonating his suicide vest, police said. The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
