Cities across the U.S. are seeing a surge in home rental prices.

A survey by Realtor.com found a median increase of more than 19% in major metropolitan areas last year.

But several cities saw spikes of 30% or more.  And in Miami, the highest jump of all. A two-bedroom unit there, costing nearly 50% more.
