Hearings have begun in the U.S. Senate for the White House’s candidate for a new Supreme Court Justice.

If confirmed, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would become the first Black woman to serve on the highest court- immensely qualified she has experience both at the highest levels of U.S. justice as well as representing those who are often disadvantaged in the U.S. judicial system
