Southwestern North America experiences its driest period in 1,200 years

Southwestern North America has been experiencing a “megadrought” for more than two decades. 

A study, led by the University of California Los Angeles, found it’s been the driest period in more than 1,200 years. 

Scientists say human-caused climate change is largely to blame.
