More than 2.2 million refugees have entered Poland from Ukraine since Russia began its military operations in the country, the Polish Border Guard reports.
Russia has said that the first phase of its operation is over and it will now focus on the “complete liberation” of the eastern Donbas region, which leaves the immediate future of more than 10 million people who have fled their homes in Ukraine still unclear.
