As Shanghai enters a COVID-19 lockdown following a rise in new cases, residents are stocking up on groceries and other goods.
The rush has caused packed grocery stores and long lines.
Shanghai officials are locking down the city in two phases, dividing it between the east and west.
They also plan to disinfect common areas like schools, markets and office buildings over the next month, Reuters reports.
