Ukrainian refugees who fled to Mexico were transferred this week to a sports center converted into a government shelter in the northern city of Tijuana on the border with the U.S. 

More than 400 Ukrainians arrived on Saturday to Mexico, making a total of 1,700 in Tijuana.  

Many are awaiting their turn to try to enter the U.S.
