Mexican voters back president to stay in recall referendum

Despite a low turnout, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador won the April 10 recall referendum, meaning voters are leaving him as their head of state until at least 2024.

Critics have slammed Obrador, saying that the referendum is a tactic to distract the population from the problems in his government.
