“China will continue to buy, and buy more American agricultural products,” Chinese Ambassador to the U.S., Qin Gang, said on Friday on his three-state tour of the American Midwest.

Qin stopped at Kimberly Farm in Iowa to visit the family-run establishment that President Xi Jinping cited as an example of modern farming technology when he visited as Vice President of China.

Qin and his wife Lin Yan visited with Rick Kimberly and his wife exchanged gifts, and discussed a variety of issues including the crisis in Ukraine and increasing the world’s need for food.

Kimberly taught Qin his favorite sayings, including “all is good in the neighborhood” when you have a “happy wife you have a happy life.”

Qin added that when you have “happy farmers you have a happy America, a happy China, a happy world.”

They enjoyed local Iowa fare including pork belly, oatmeal cookies, and bacon before touring the farm.
