Thirty years ago, Rodney King, an African American man, was savagely beaten by four Los Angeles policeman who were later acquitted. 

What followed was anger and fury that spilled onto the streets with five days of riots. We talked to Ted Soqui, a freelance photographer who captured these historical moments through his lens.
