Coca farming threatens Peru's indigenous territories

Drug traffickers in Peru used the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown to expand their territory during a period of lax law enforcement. 

They grew fields of coca, the plant used to make cocaine, into new areas including national parks and land belonging to indigenous people. 

The cocaine boom has also brought with it threats and murder.
