Here's a brief rundown of other landmark cases that could be impacted by the overturning of Roe v. Wade:

Griswold v. Connecticut (1965)

This case established the right to use birth control. With a focus on married couples, it challenged a Connecticut law banning the use of all forms of contraception.

U.S. Supreme Court justices ruled marital privacy is protected against state bans on contraceptives. This case has since become a major precedent and is referenced in later opinions.

Lawrence v. Texas (2003)

This case challenged a Texas anti-sodomy law banning intercourse between two people of the same sex. In a 6-3 vote, SCOTUS struck down the Texas law.

Obergefell v. Hodges (2015)

This case legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, citing the Due Process Clause and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment.

The 14th Amendment was also used in Griswold v. Connecticut. It says state governments can't deprive people of life, liberty and property without "due process of law."
